We planted shrubs, bushes and flowers in one area and our vegetables in another.

Making rainbow salad wraps

This afternoon we have taken part in a World record attempt by cooking live with Jamie Oliver. First we watched Jamie making his wrap, and then we made it. How much of the recipe can you remember? What did they taste like?

This afternoon Class 7 and 8 are taking part in a live cookery lesson with Jamie Oliver.  We will be making a rainbow salad wrap. What ingredients do you think we will be using?

Climbing frame

The new climbing frame is finished! Before we can use it, we need to think carefully about our rights and responsibilities and make sure everyone keeps safe and happy, whilst using the equipment. What rights should we have and what responsibilities?

Egg hunt

We made Easter egg hunts for each other. We had to write the clues and hide the eggs without squashing them. What was your best clue?

Sports relief

We took part in the sport relief events. What was your favourite event? How much do you think we raised?

Planting seeds

Today we have planted in our little plant pots that we made. We made them out of newspaper because it can disintegrate over time. We planted some sunflowers and Sharlette planted a pumpkin seed which she brought in. We are going to grow them for a while in school and then take them home. Once the pumpkins have grown we are thinking about cooking with them.

Victorian lemonade

We had lemons left over from pancake day so we looked at victorian recipes which use lemons. We found a recipe for victorian lemonade so we thought it would be interesting to try it.

Reception letters

After planting our seeds we made sure that we updated the reception children as they were interested in what we have been doing outside. We wrote replies to their letters and took them down to read them to the children.
